Luke's school had a preschool graduation that was Medieval Themed. The high schoolers who were interns this year were great. I love watching the interaction between the high schoolers and preschoolers. The seniors were so sweet and emotional at the end of the program. I know it's an exciting and nervous time in their lives. We wish them the best.

| Happy 5th Birthday Luke! |
Luke turned 5 in the middle of May. He was so excited to have a Lego party. I even made a Lego cake with Luke's help.

Luke and Papa baled hay in the pasture in Papa's new tractor. You can see Luke in the cab wearing a green shirt. Papa bought the tractor with a "buddy" seat. It is like a little jump seat with its own seat belt. The boys were very excited about it.

| A Hard Day's work |
We took a day to ride bikes at a local state park. After our ride, we took the stairs to the bottom of the gorge, about 500 steps each way! The boys were completely exhausted, and I wish we could do it more often. It was a great workout!

Matt had his annual meeting at St. Simon's Island, so we made our annual trip to Fort King George. The bugs were terrible, so I had to buy a very expensive bottle of bug spray. I should know by now, that I need to carry bug spray with me!

I took the boys down to the beach for a little while. Despite my warnings not to get wet (we were headed home!), they just couldn't resist. It started with their feet, and when they got their hands sandy, they had to wash them off. Of course, to wash their hands, they had to squat down, and then they got their pants wet. They had fun, but I had to drag the suitcases out of the back of the van to find dry clothes for them for the ride home. I should know better than to tempt little boys!

The boys had an end of the year Cub Scout Awards meeting. Thomas wanted to be just like big brothers and sit with them while they waited to have their names called. It was a space themed awards party, so we made a cake to go along with the theme. Again, Luke was right there to help me with it!

| To the Moon! |
Our homeschool group had a field day, and we had a wonderful time! I got to shepherd around the 8-10 year olds, so Joshua was in my group. They had water games, archery, parachute games, an obstacle course, foot races, and a tug of war. Then, we had pizza delivered and everyone sat around and talked while the kids played. This is our first year in this group, and it has been a blessing to our family. I've found friends who are going through the same issues with kids, curriculum, managing a household, etc. and it's been so refreshing to share time with them and learn from the ones who having been doing this for more years than me!

| Boys versus Girls |
Mimi wanted to treat us to breakfast at the Waffle House. This is Caleb's favorite place to eat, and Mimi eats breakfast there quite often. Uncle Chet was in town, so he got to join us too, and Mom came over to eat with us. We were quite a sight!
When I was working, sometimes Mom would take the boys over to meet Mimi and her friend Floyce for breakfast. They tell the stories of how Caleb was not satisfied unless someone was standing up bouncing him. Even the waitress bounced him one day so Mom and Mimi could eat! He no longer needs bouncing, but he loves to eat waffles and bacon and drink orange juice. It was a such a sweet treat from Mimi.
