Joshua turns 13!

Joshua wanted another spend the night airsoft party.  So, we had 11 boys to feed and house for his party. They had a great time running around outside even though it was misty through most of the party.  They did great together, and they camped out in the basement between the living room and Joshua's room.  I think they got a decent amount of sleep.  Matt went down in the evening, and he opened the door to be greeted by the odor of stinky boys!  I'm glad it did air out after they all departed!

Joshua is growing up to be a fine young man.  We are so proud of him!

Easter

Easter was a time of celebration for us.  Danny and Kim came up the weekend before Easter, and Chet and Amanda were here the weekend of Easter.  The kids love spending time with their cousins.  We took Jake and Jenna to two egg hunts.  Jake found the prize egg at both hunts!  He got $20 at one hunt.  Thomas got up Easter morning to find eggs in the hallway.  He said, "I see the Easter trail."  We made Resurrection buns for breakfast and celebrated the Resurrection of Christ at church.  I am so thankful for my family.

Back to Snow Days

We had a snow storm the week before we went on the cruise and the week after the cruise.  We finally tried snow cream. We used sweetened condensed milk, and the kids did not like it.  I can check that off my list now!  The problem with snow in the south is that it melts so fast that the kids are playing in slush.  Slush equals a lot of wet clothes for mom to wash!  They had fun, and I did sled some with them.  Anna came in crying one day because she was so cold, and her little feet were freezing.  Thomas spent just a few minutes outside for me to get a picture, and then he headed inside.  We got the four wheeler out and drove around a little in the snow.  I drove Anna and Caleb around.  Caleb was yelling for me to slow down, and Anna was giggling the whole time.  I know who the adventurous one is!

Happy muddy boy

Big brother suggested a mud fight. Somehow this guy ended up with most of the mud.

Stone Mountain

I took the kids and my niece and nephew to Stone Mountain on Friday. Joshua got sick on the way down and spent his time on the picnic blanket on the lawn. He wanted us to have a good time...he's such a sweet boy. I let the kids play for an hour, we had a picnic, and then we headed home. I'm thankful we have annual passes and bring a friend free tickets. We will have to try again soon.
