Happy Thanksgiving

We continue to get adjusted to our new family and spent November in a whirl.  Matt celebrated another birthday.  We took Anna for an MRI at Scottish Rite.  I took the kids on a field trip to the Sheriff's department, and they had a blast.  Mike, the police dog, even gave us a demonstration.  We were able to share a Thanksgiving meal with Matt's brother and his family.  We counted our blessings.

We attempted to get our Christmas picture taken.

We took Anna's picture in her silk dress from China.

I cleaned up lots of little messes.
This one was when Thomas was fixing them both cups of ice water from the refrigerator door.

We made Joshua's favorite gingerbread men.

We visited with my brother and his family to get Mom's Christmas card picture with the grandkids.

We are so thankful for all of God's blessings this year.

Fw: Caleb learns to ride a bike!

Caleb says he is not an outside
boy.  So, it has been difficult to get him outside and
motivated to practice bike riding.  Today, he just did it!

Fall Fun

Since arriving home, we have gone to church, our homeschool group's geography fair, Living History camp, various doctor visits for Anna and a dentist visit for Luke, a vet visit for the cat, Cub Scouts, Community Bible Study, Fall festivals, visited with family from out of town, piano lessons, defensive driving courses (for insurance discounts, I promise!), Matt's annual meeting, Jaemor farms corn maze, a trip to Helen for authentic German food (a school project) and trick or treating.

Plus, we started back to school lessons the week after we returned from China.

Wow, it makes me tired just thinking of it all!

Schoolwork? no, only the latest lego magazine

Batman, Captain America, Bumblebee, Pirate, Superman, Red Power Ranger
I have to brag on my hubby.  He told me that they were having a costume contest at work.  I told him to bring home a gift certificate.  He called me that afternoon to tell me that he won best costume, and he got a gift certificate.  I was so excited!  We're going to have dinner out!

Your mama didn't dress you, did she?  My sweet Caleb, I just had to take this picture!

My crazy mama did dress me, and what will she put on me next?
Out with October, and in with the holiday season.  Luke is already counting down the days for Twinkle, our elf on the shelf, to come back to visit!
