Thomas turns 6!

My blonde baby turned 6 this week.  I can hardly believe how is growing up. He is such a joy.  We celebrated with a Paw Patrol birthday party at Grandma's subdivision pool.  We were blessed to have several friends who were able to join us.  He was so excited by each gift and truly grateful.

Naples, FL

A dear friend of mine moved to Naples, FL. I flew Allegiant Air from Greenville to Punta Gorda.  We spent the weekend visiting different beaches, eating great food, laughing, watching a movie, shopping, and laughing some more.  We even tried stand up paddle boards in the ocean.  It was balm to my weary soul, and I look forward to another weekend to visit with her.

Camping at Old Salem Park

We decided to try a couple of nights at Old Salem.  We took the kayaks along and spent time at the beach area of Lake Oconee. It would have been a great weekend, except that we were overrun by ants!  They had a sign posted at the check in that stated that they had an ant problem and to take precautions. Little did we know how big that problem was.  We had hundreds of ants in the camper, especially the snack drawer.  We learned that if we sprinkle Comet around the camper that we can prevent the ants, but they will crawl in anything that is touching the camper, even tree limbs!

Luke's 9th Birthday

Nine years of love from this sweet boy.  He gives big hugs and great kisses.  He can lose his temper with his brothers without a moment's notice. He loves to spend the night at Grandma's house so she can treat him to Captain D's.  He will happily work off his dinner at her house too.
