Here come the terrible twos!

Someone must have told Luke about the terrible twos. Although he has less than one month to age 2, he has already started some of the bad habits. Yesterday, Caleb was playing with a toy that Luke wanted. I think Luke tried to say "no, no, Caleb" prior to hitting Caleb on the head. He has also starting biting and throwing temper tantrums, oh the joy! I found him the other day with my dental floss, pulling as fast and as hard as he could before I could get it away from him. But, despite the bad habits, he is still adorable. He knows how to grin and shrug his shoulders like he is a little angel. He adores Joshua and often gives him kisses and hugs. He is trying so hard to talk by saying what sounds like bird, ball, on, come on, and got you. He loves Thomas the train and tractors. I have decided that my favorite age is between one and two when they start to learn more about the world around them, but aren't so stubbornly independent. Regardless, we are blessed with all boys at any age.

Surfin' USA

So, following Julie's lead, I have filled in the states that I have visited. It's strange to see. I sort of walked down memory lane as I looked at the states that I filled in, remembering the trips that I have taken with family, friends, business associates. So many memories! I saw the numerous family trips to Nebraska and Kentucky/Ohio, the round trip family vacations that included Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, Las Vegas, Oak Creek Canyon, trips to NJ and Texas for Ethicon, vacations to Florida, and business trips with Matt to California, Colorado, Texas, and others. I really thought that I have traveled most of the US states, but I can tell that I have some work to do! I'll have to get planning, right after our next trip to Nebraska, and Florida, oh and our cruise, well maybe we'll have more vacation time next year!

Lots of Plans

We had a wonderful celebration for Joshua's birthday; however, the weather did not cooperate for the planned outside cookout party. It was rainy and cloudy all day. The house got a little trashed, because the kids were running in and out. Matt decided to do the cookout anyway. The women wanted to stay inside, and the men and kids went out to cook hot dogs. I had to vacuum and mop the whole house afterwards, but who cares, I needed to vacuum and mop anyway! Joshua had a blast, and it was the first time in a long time that we had all the family there, a total of 31!

Matt and I have planned our 10th anniversary trip. We will be going on a Caribbean cruise. We have it booked, and childcare has been arranged!

Work is still going on in the basement. The ceiling is complete, and the floor is going down. The boys are really getting excited to get their own space. Joshua got Transformer bedding for his birthday, so he can't wait to set up his Transformer room.

We took Spring Break last week, and it was really nice to take some time to get things organized around the house. We are back to work this week. Joshua is counting down the days to summer break. Caleb is practicing for his trike-a-thon this week at school. They are raising money for St. Jude's "to help the sick kids" as Caleb says.
