I decided to take the kids camping while Matt had a business trip. We left from home and drove to Etowah Indian Mounds. We were late, so we only got to see the museum and movie. We camped at Red Top Mountain State Park. The next morning we drove to Pickett's Mill Battlefield and hiked through the battlefield. We ate a picnic lunch in the RV and drove to Calhoun to a rock garden behind the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Then, we visited New Echota Historic Site. This was where the Cherokee village was located where the New Echota treaty was signed that agreed to move to Oklahoma. After that, we drove to Fort Mountain State Park and camped again. I think all the kids had a good time overall, but it was interesting to see the different personalities play out in the 3 day interactions. A little less whining and a little less fighting would have made the trip perfect!
